Democrat Doug Owens raised more than $322,000 during the most recent fundraising quarter, but Republican Mia Love has more than double that amount in the bank.
The two campaigns released dueling press releases touting their fundraising prowess during the last quarter.
Some significant figures:
- Owens raised $322,000 and spent $38,026, which leaves him with $284,700.
- Love raised $441,818 while spending $302,830. She has $757,900 on hand. $94,000 of Love's total came from political committees.
Owens lost to Love by about 5% in 2014 even though Love outraised Owens by more than a 5-1 margin.
