Republican State Representative Jake Anderegg is throwing his hat in the ring to replace retiring Senator Mark Madsen in Senate District 13.
Anderegg made the announcement via Facebook on Thursday.
Anderegg's also indicated he will use the new petition route to get on the ballot, offering a page on his campaign website where supporters can pre-register to sign the petition to get him on the ballot.
Anderegg currently represents House District 6.
