Representative Mia Love Appointed to New Select Investigative Panel

Rep. Mia Love has been selected to be a part of a bi-partisan committee to inquire into the illegal procurement and sale of human body parts, as part of a New Select Investigative Panel.

The panel will be charged with investigating the procurement and illegal sale of fetal body parts.  Rep. Love is the only freshman chosen for a seat on the special select committee.

“I was asked to be on this committee, and appreciate the confidence that has been placed in me,” Rep. Mia Love said.  “I consider this a significant responsibility.”

“I believe this committee should only focus on possible illegal activity, it should aim for fairness and transparency, and remain non-political,” Love said.

The Panel will be Chaired by Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), with Republican members Rep. Joe Pitts (R-PA), Rep. Diane Black (R-TN), Rep. Mia Love (R-Utah), Rep. Larry Bucshon (R-IN), Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI), Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD), and Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-MO).
