Real Women Run Fall Networking Social

Real Women Run LogoReal Women Run will host a fall networking social at Market Street Grill Cottonwood, 2985 East Cottonwood Parkway, Salt Lake City on November 11th, 5:30-7:30 PM. All women are invited to meet and mingle with women who have run, worked on a campaign, or are thinking about getting involved.

A short program will include an intimate conversation with two women, Sophia DiCaro, Utah House of Representatives, District 31 and Keila Mower, who was a candidate for South Jordan City Council, District 4. Both recently ran their first campaign for office. One woman was elected to the seat she went after and one woman was not. What made them step forward? What did they learn? Will they do it again? The conversation will be moderated by Natalie Gochnour, the Associate Dean of the David Eccles School of Business and Director of the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute, University of Utah.

The event is free, but registration is required, as space is limited. Registration for this fall networking social and all Real Women Run events can be made at online at realwomenrun.org or ywca.com.

Real Women Run’s next event will be a full-day training on January 16, 2016 at Salt Lake Community College, Miller Campus.  This event will feature a keynote address by Debbie Walsh, Director of the Center for American Women and Politics, Eagleton Institute, Rutgers University.
