A public memorial service for Randy Horiuchi will be held on Friday, January 15th at 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Calvin L. Rampton Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City.
Randy served as an elected official in Salt Lake County for 22 years, first as a County Commissioner and then as a County Council member. He passed away on November 19th.
As a leader in county government, Randy championed the formation of the Unified Fire Department, a shared public works model, and supported the expansion of the county’s senior centers, libraries, and recreation centers. Randy was also pivotal in the expansion of the Salt Palace Convention Center, where the service in honor of his life will be held.
