Romney to Speak Thursday at the University of Utah

Mitt RomneyFormer Massachusetts Gov. and 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney will discuss the 2016 presidential race Thursday morning at the University of Utah.

Romney is scheduled to speak at the Hinckley Institute of Politics.

Romney has been outspoken in his criticism of current GOP frontrunner Donald Trump and has called on him to release his tax records.

Trump currently leads the GOP delegate count with 316 delegates. His closest rival is Texas Senator Ted Cruz with 226. Florida Senator Marco Rubio is in third with 106.

The GOP field is scheduled to be in Salt Lake City on March 21 for a debate one day ahead of the Utah presidential caucus. Arizona votes the same day as Utah in a winner-take-all primary. There is some growing speculation that Trump may skip that debate if he has the nomination virtually sewn up.
