Fresh off his scathing broadside against Donald Trump, Mitt Romney took to the Today Show and said he will do everything “within the normal political bounds” to stop Trump’s run to the GOP nomination.
Romney called Trump’s antics and penchant for name calling a “new low in presidential politics.”
When host Matt Lauer asked about accepting Trump’s endorsement in 2012 and his criticism of Trump now, Romney said “I was endorsed by a lot of people that I would not endorse for president.”
Romney also said there are “no circumstances he can foresee” where he would be open to jumping into the race as part of a contested convention in Cleveland.
