GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz and former presidential candidate Carly Fiorina will join Sen. Mike Lee for his re-election campaign kickoff event on Saturday morning.
The program will also feature talk show host Glenn Beck.
The event will take place at the American Preparatory Academy campus in Draper beginning at 10:00 am on Saturday.
The Senator is flattered in the midst of all the other things they are going that they would take time to come and support him as he kicks off his first re-election for the Senate,” said Boyd Matheson who is heading up Lee’s campaign. “This is an interesting time in Utah as the eyes of the country are here. Really, the Republicans ability to win the White House are the things he’s been focused on, including economic help for the poor and helping the middle class. We’re excited to have Ted and Carly support him.”
Lee is facing a Republican challenger for the GOP nomination from Provo lawyer William Gaskill.
There are three Democrats who have also filed to take on Lee in 2016.
In our most recent UtahPolicy.com survey, Lee is enjoying strong approval ratings, with 65% of Utahns giving him high marks for his job performance. Just 26% disapprove, which means he’s in fine shape to win another term heading into the 2016 campaign.
