Real Women Run Spring Training for Women Who Want to Win

Designed for women who are declared candidates and campaign managers, the Real Women Run Spring Training will focus on developing successful campaign messaging and media, research and demographics, fundraising, and campaign and field organization.

This hands-on training builds on the foundations introduced in the Winter Training and will be Saturday, April 30 at 8:30 AM – 2 PM in the Hinckley Institute of Politics at the University of Utah (Orson Spencer Hall, 260 Central Campus Drive, Room 255).

Representative Sophia DiCaro, Utah State House District 31 will give the keynote address and then attendees will have opportunities to learn from workshop and panelist speakers who have run for office, are in office, and those who have run campaigns.

“You can win if you work hard, spend wisely, plan well, and remember to say thank you along the way,” says Paige Albrecht, Lehi City Council. Other presenters lending expertise are: Elizabeth Converse, Communications Director, Utah House Democratic Caucus; Jeff Dixon, Political Consultant and former Field Director of Jackie Biskupski for Salt Lake City Mayor; Deana Froerer, State Senate District 19 Candidate; Kendalyn Harris, Bountiful City Council; Maryann Martindale, former Communications Director for Jackie Biskupski for Salt Lake City Mayor; Sarah Nitta, former Finance Director for the Utah Republican Party; and Lindsay Zizumbo, Associate Director for The Sorenson Center at the David Eccles School of Business.

Over 30 women candidates and campaign managers have registered as of today.

With the personalized attention to attendees and lunch included, the event is $15 and requires registration at realwomenrun.org or ywca.com.
