Survey says Utah drivers are the 15th ‘most aggressive’ in the nation

A new study from GasBuddy.com ranks Utah drivers as the 15th “most aggressive” in the country.

To compile their list, GasBuddy.com classified hard braking, speeding, and rapid acceleration as “aggressive driving” behaviors. They also looked at the average speed of drivers in each state compiled from their app. 

Utah logged an “aggressive driving” event every 9.6 minutes according to the study. Motorists in Utah had an average speed of 44 mph.

California has far and away the most aggressive drivers in the nation, with an aggressive incident happening once every 6.6 minutes. The next states in the rankings, Connecticut and Georgia, saw an aggressive incident every 8.2 minutes.

The least aggressive states were Montana and Alaska.
