Woodside Homes names first woman executive

Woodside Homes announces Erin Willis as its new chief insights and marketing officer, making her the first female corporate executive at the company.

Advancing Woodside’s customer-centric focus, Willis’s new position and rich background will allow her to expand the integration efforts of Woodside’s research and marketing capabilities to facilitate greater communication among customers and stakeholders and align with the distinct needs of the customer.

Having been in the marketing world of both public and private homebuilding for more than 20 years and working with Woodside Homes since 2018, Willis is essential to the continued development of the customer-driven insights team that she started. Before joining Woodside Homes, Willis was with Taylor Morrison Homes, where she not only created their Strategic Marketing function but also transitioned into a role as head of Corporate Communications.

Since joining Woodside Homes, Willis has deepened research insights as well as developed a research team. As Woodside Homes continues its commitment to being a company driven by the customer, the team must reinvent how it works.

“Given our efforts to transition to a more data- and customer-driven company, having our own bespoke research and analytics was essential to further differentiate ourselves from competitors. I am thrilled to take on this enhanced responsibility that will allow Woodside Homes to better meet our customers’ needs,” says Willis with regard to her insights and collaboration efforts with chief experience officer Chris Williams.

Japanese parent company Sekisui House’s commitment to advocating for the wellbeing of everyone, from staff to customer, includes increasing diversity within the workplace.  This approach arose from the company’s official business stance, described as “love of humanity.”

“Given Willis’s incredible contributions to the evolution of our business during her first year at Woodside, I am confident she will excel in her new position, strengthening the innovation and communication that will fuel our continued growth,” says Joel Shine, CEO.
