Achieving housing attainability: SLCo spotlights zoning reform to address housing challenges

Salt Lake County (SLCo) is excited to announce the date for its annual Regional Solutions event: Zoning Reform for Housing Attainability. This gathering will take place on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the Viridian Event Center (8030 S. 1825 W., West Jordan).

This year, the spotlight is on zoning reform as a tool to increase housing attainability in our community. The event will foster a rich dialogue among speakers, panelists, and attendees by offering several opportunities for Q&A with local and national experts.

SLCo extends a warm invitation to everyone interested in solutions to our regional housing challenges. Housing advocates, developers, planners, and policymakers – including legislators, council members, and planning commissioners – will have an opportunity to engage with peers and inform regional solutions.

We believe this event will bring together diverse perspectives and stimulate a constructive dialogue about zoning reform,” said Helen Peters, Salt Lake County Director of Regional Planning and Transportation. “We’re looking forward to engaging with our dedicated professionals and stakeholders to explore solutions and drive positive change.”
