Hatch Foundation releases 2023 policy review on conservative approaches to climate change

Today, the Orrin G. Hatch Foundation released its 2023 Policy Review, entitled “Conservative Solutions to Climate Change.” This comprehensive report continues Senator Hatch’s legacy by focusing on innovative and conservative approaches to environmental stewardship and climate change.

Through a collection of thought-provoking essays from policymakers and industry leaders, the report challenges the perception that conservatives are reluctant to address climate change. In this report, conservatives propose solutions that balance economic growth with environmental conservation––emphasizing the importance of market forces, competition, and innovation over heavy-handed government regulations.

Recognizing the complexity of climate change, the report calls for bipartisan cooperation to develop practical solutions that benefit all Americans,” said Matt Sandgren, Executive Director of the Orrin G. Hatch Foundation. “This approach reflects the Hatch Center’s commitment to promoting dialogue and understanding across the political spectrum. It invites readers to explore a range of perspectives on climate change and to partake in a constructive dialogue.

By bringing together different viewpoints and emphasizing bipartisan cooperation, this year’s Policy Review aims to bridge partisan boundaries, aligning with Senator Hatch’s vision of a more civil, solution-oriented political discourse.
