Today, Box Elder County Commissioner Stan Summers announced he was withdrawing from his reelection race with the following statement:
“Dear Friends, Supporters, and Fellow Citizens:
After much thought and discussion with my family, I am writing to share my decision to withdraw from the Box Elder County Commissioner race.
This has been a tough decision to make, but it is one that best aligns with my personal circumstances and the new chapter that is unfolding in my life.
I am deeply proud of what we have accomplished over the last decade. And as I turn to focus on this new chapter in my life, I want you to know that my commitment to our shared values and community remains strong.
Please accept my heartfelt gratitude for your support over the last twelve years.
