Joseph Tsai from Timpview High School in Provo and Audrey Su from Skyline High School in Sandy have been announced as Utah’s two 2024 U.S. Presidential Scholars. Handpicked by the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars, Joseph and Audrey exemplify Utah’s commitment to excellence and achievement. Their exceptional accomplishments in academics, the arts, and career and technical education will now be acknowledged this summer through an online ceremony.
Joseph and Audrey are among the 161 high school seniors recognized. Created in 1964, the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program has honored over 8,200 of the nation’s top-performing students thus far. The 2024 U.S. Presidential Scholars are comprised of two students from each state, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, and U.S. families living abroad, as well as 15 chosen at-large, 20 scholars in the arts and 20 scholars in career and technical education.
“Joseph and Audrey exemplify the exceptional talent that Utah’s students possess. We are immensely proud of their accomplishments, which reflect the unwavering commitment of Utah’s educational community to foster excellence and empower our students to reach their fullest potential,” said State Superintendent of Public Instruction Sydnee Dickson.
