47G to host annual Zero Gravity Summit

At a time when America faces unprecedented challenges to its national security and energy independence, Utah will host one of the nation’s most critical gatherings on innovation and strategic resilience. The 2025 Zero Gravity Summit, organized by 47G Utah Aerospace & Defense (47G), will convene more than 3,000 globally recognized national security and defense industry experts, federal and state government officials, intelligence analysts, leading academic researchers, company executives and venture capitalists. Featuring over 150 exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge technologies and solutions, the Summit will take place on November 4–5 at the Salt Palace Convention Center.

As geopolitical tensions escalate and supply chain vulnerabilities threaten national security, this two-day summit addresses the urgent need for breakthrough technologies in aerospace, advanced air mobility, dual-use space systems, grid resilience and AI-powered defense capabilities—all vital to maintaining America’s competitive edge and strategic independence.

“At a moment when our nation faces complex threats to both our physical security and economic independence, Utah’s aerospace and defense ecosystem is delivering the innovations America needs to stay ahead,” said Aaron Starks, President and CEO of 47G. “The Zero Gravity Summit brings together the minds and resources necessary to forge the technologies that will secure our nation’s future, protect our strategic independence and ensure American leadership in the technologies that matter most.”

Building on the sold-out success of its 2024 debut that drew over 800 participants from across industry and government, the 2025 Summit reflects Utah’s dominance in the aerospace, defense and energy sectors. This year’s expanded event is presented in partnership with two Utah-based companies at the forefront of national security: Torus, pioneering defense-focused hard tech and tactical energy systems for energy independence, and Strider Technologies, leading the charge in strategic intelligence and soft tech solutions to protect American innovation from foreign threats.

“The intersection of energy, grid resilience, and national security has never been more critical,” said Nate Walkingshaw, CEO and founder of Torus. “Last year’s summit was incredible. This year will be even better. Utah is proving that energy independence isn’t just an environmental goal, it’s a national security imperative.”

The 2025 Summit will tackle four interconnected tracks essential to preserving U.S. leadership and independence in an increasingly contested global landscape:

  • Defense Tech
  • The Future of Flight
  • The New Space Economy
  • Energy Production & Grid Security

“Strider is proud to be part of this year’s Zero Gravity Summit,” said Greg Levesque, CEO and Co-founder of Strider Technologies. “This gathering is an unmatched opportunity to showcase how strategic intelligence and AI-driven insights can strengthen our defenses against state-sponsored threats and accelerate innovation across the aerospace, defense and security sectors.”

The Zero Gravity Summit underscores Utah’s expanding role as a cornerstone of American security and technological independence. With $6.1 billion in annual U.S. Department of Defense contracts, the aerospace, defense and security industries support nearly 500,000 jobs, generate around $100 billion in annual output, and account for 19.2% of Utah’s GDP while delivering $30 billion in annual employee compensation and $1.6 billion in direct state and local tax revenue.

Strategic installations including Hill Air Force BaseFalcon Hill Aerospace Research Park and the U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground, combined with world-class research institutions from Utah State University’s Space Dynamics Laboratory to Weber State University’s MARS Center, create an unmatched ecosystem for rapid innovation and specialized talent development that strengthens the economic foundation vital to national resilience.
