Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) will convene a hearing on Thursday, June 18, to examine responsible and sustainable funding options for the highway trust fund.
The hearing, titled “Dead End, No Turn Around, Danger Ahead: Challenges to the Future of Highway Funding,” will take place at10:00 a.m. inRoom 215 of theDirksen Senate Office Building.
“While many in Congress agree we should aim for long-term highway bill, the problem is often agreeing on how to pay for it,” Hatch said. “This hearing will allow committee members to examine funding options needed for a multi-year reauthorization that will put the program on sound fiscal footing.”
The witnesses at Thursday’s hearing are:
