Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation releases its third annual Impact Report

This year’s report centers on the theme of bridge-building in philanthropy—how connections between people, ideas, and resources create stronger, more resilient communities. From neighborhood initiatives to statewide efforts, the report offers a glimpse into how the foundation approaches giving and the meaningful collaborations with the nonprofit partners it supports.

“We are excited to share our 2024 Impact Report with the community,” said Don Stirling, executive director of the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation. “We hope it inspires readers to become engaged philanthropists themselves. No matter how you give, we believe that when we come together in this way, our communities are better for it.”

A key theme of this year’s report is stewardship. From family-led giving such as the Miller Legacy Project and trustee-directed initiatives, to larger grant programs that allow the Miller Family Foundation to serve as stewards of community resources, the Miller family remains deeply committed to thoughtful, values-driven philanthropy.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside our partners and to help strengthen the communities we care about,” said Greg Miller, trustee of the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation. “Stewardship means recognizing that the resources we’ve been entrusted with are not just for us, they’re meant to be shared in ways that build connection, opportunity, and lasting impact.”

The 2024 Impact Report highlights efforts across the Miller Family Foundation’s focus areas, including health and medicine, shelter and food security, education and skill development, jobs and economic self-reliance, and cultural and spiritual enrichment. It features stories from nonprofit partners who are building bridges to better futures for individuals and communities across Utah and beyond.
