A new survey finds 35% of Americans would prefer a male boss.
The poll from Gallup says 41% would have no preference while just 23% prefer a female boss.
Break those numbers down and you find:
- 40% of women would prefer a male boss
- 40% of Republicans, 32% of Democrats and 33% of independents would like a man as their boss
- The only demographic where preference for a female boss breaks 30% is among Democrats
35% of those who currently have a man for a boss would prefer to keep it that way. The same goes for 32% of workers who currently have a female boss.
