Both Sens. Orrin Hatch and Mike Lee have markedly improved approval ratings according to a new nationwide poll of all 50 states.
Morning Consult measured the approval ratings for each of the 100 U.S. Senators. Hatch’s approval rating sits at 54% while Lee’s is at 53%. Hatch’s disapproval rating among Utahns is 35% while Lee’s is at 28%. Both sets of numbers are improved from an April survey, also by Morning Consult, gave Hatch a 49/41% approval/disapproval rating and Lee a 48/29%.
Hatch’s office hailed the new numbers saying “At a time when Americans are generally dissatisfied with the status quo and many senators do not have the support of a majority in their states, interesting that both Senators Hatch and Lee remain popular among Utahns.”
According to the survey the “most popular” Senators in America are:

- Susan Collins (R-ME)
- John Thune (R-SD)
- Thomas Carper (D-DE)
- Patrick Leahy (D-VT)
- Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)
- Brian Schatz (D-HI)
- Chuck Schumer (D-NY)
- John Hoeven (R-ND)
- John Reed (D-RI)
And, the “least popular” Senators in America according to the survey:
- Mitch McConnell (R-KY)
- Pat Roberts (R-KS)
- Harry Reid (D-NV)
- John McCain (R-AZ)
- Marco Rubio (R-FL)
- Lindsey Graham (R-SC)
- David Vitter (R-LA)
- Joe Manchin (D-WV)
- Claire McCaskill (D-MO)
- Mark Kirk (R-Il)
