Chaffetz: Congress should keep an eye on Mueller (with video)

Rep. Jason Chaffetz says Congress should keep an eye on special counsel Robert Mueller, who was appointed to investigate Russian involvement in the 2016 election.

Chaffetz was a guest on “Sunday Morning Futures” hosted by Fox News’ Maria Baritiromo. He said Congress needs to make sure that Mueller’s investigation doesn’t get out of hand.

“Just because you are a special counsel doesn’t mean you go unimpeded. There needs to be someone looking over the shoulder of the special prosecutor as well,” he said.

President Donald Trump and his allies have been attacking Mueller for appointing members of his investigative team who have donated politically to Democrats. Trump himself slammed Mueller last week, saying it was “very bothersome” that Mueller was “very, very good friends” with fired FBI Director James Comey.
