The League of Women Voters of Davis County will be hosting a Q&A with Davis County Officials.
Commissioner Randy Elliott, Library Director Chris Stanford, Legal Defender Todd Utzinger and others will be answering questions Saturday, 10:00 AM, January 6, at the South Davis Metro Fire Station, 255 South 100 West, Bountiful. This meeting is open to the public.
The health department, elections management, property tax (assessment, collection and distribution), search and rescue, the criminal justice system and libraries are some of the ways Davis County government affects the lives of its citizens. This is a great opportunity for the citizens of Davis County to interact with county officials and learn more about the issues the county faces. Two County Commission seats are up for election in November of 2018. Some expected topics are: the effects of population increase on county services, the opioid crisis and the preservation of open space. Those in attendance will have an opportunity to ask questions if they would like.
