House Majority Leader Francis Gibson, R-Mapleton, joins Managing Editor Bryan Schott and Contributing Editor Bob Bernick to speak about the budget deal House and Senate Republicans agreed to on Tuesday afternoon.
The deal funds more than $300 million in ongoing obligations with one-time money, which gives legislators leeway to fix the structural imbalance in the state budget. Lawmakers also are forming a task force to look at possible solutions to that imbalance.
