Several readers were able to identify the significance of this plaque, which is in the posession of Rep. Craig Hall.
The plaque holds a piece of the original copper dome on Utah’s Capitol that was sheared off by a severe windstorm in 1980. Winds of up to 70 mph tore off the copper covering that was first installed in 1932.
