Utah State Tax Commissioners named a veteran in the private and public sectors as its new public information officer.
Tammy Kikuchi, marketing director for Hughes General Contractors of North Salt Lake, replaces Charlie Roberts who retires Oct. 1.
“It is a privilege and a great honor to be asked to serve as public information officer for the State Tax Commission,” Kikuchi said. “I am excited to work in the public sector again in this new and challenging position.”
Kikuchi, who started her career at KSL Radio, previously worked as communications director for Gov. Jon M. Huntsman and public information officer for Utah Department of Natural Resources before accepting this new assignment.
“We are excited to have Tammy rejoin state government service with the Tax Commission,” said Commission Chair John L. Valentine. “Her energy and media experience will be relied upon by the Commissioners and our executive team to help the public understand state tax issues.”
