An important Economic Delegation from the Grand- Duchy of Luxembourg led by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Guillaume and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy, HE Etienne Schneider will visit the Salt Lake City Area from May 11-13 for visits, meetings and discussions with Senior Government officials, including Lt. Governor Spencer J. Cox and the leadership of the Governor’s Office for Economic Development.
During an Economic Seminar at Governor’s Office of Economic Development , representatives from one of Europe’s smallest Member States will report on the country’s past economic success and on its economic ambition for the future.
The 10 person delegation will also visit and meet the leadership of several companies in the SLC area. They will explore with the University of Utah’s Huntsman Cancer Institute, opportunities for collaboration with several of Luxembourg’s biomedical research Institutions, among the leading centers of excellence in their fields in Europe.
The visit also marks the official opening of the new Luxembourg Honorary Consulate in Utah. David G. Murrell IV has recently been nominated Honorary Consul of Luxembourg for Utah.
