Governor’s Office of Economic Development Announces Life Science Director

The Governor’s Office of Economic Development is pleased to announce that after an extensive search, Kevin Jessing, has accepted the position of Life Science cluster director and has transitioned into his new role.

Jessing brings with him a wealth of experience from over 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry. He has led a diverse career across pharmaceutical, contract research and pharmaceutical technology industries with an emphasis in mass spectrometry and business development.   
Most recently as the head of BioInnovations Gateway (BiG), a non-profit life science incubator located within Granite Technical Institute. He used his expertise to provide high school students with hands on experience with medical device start up companies. Previous to BiG, he founded Resonance Laboratories in 2007 to address the bio-analytical and ADME needs of small pharmaceutical companies.

Jessing has also held positions as Interim Director of Bioanalytical Services for ABC Laboratories in Columbia, MO, Associate Director of Discovery ADME at Myriad Pharmaceuticals in Salt Lake City as well as positions at Tandem Laboratories, Cedra Corporation and Camitro.

Jessing received his Master of Arts degree in Biochemistry at the University of Texas at Austin.
