Congresswoman-elect Mia Love is pleased to announce she is naming Richard Piatt as her Communications Director.
Piatt is well known in Utah as a political reporter for KSL TV, where he has worked for 16 years.
“I am thrilled to have someone with Richard’s experience on my staff,” Love said in a statement. “I am confident he will assist me in my efforts to Represent the people of the 4th District, and the state of Utah in my desire to bring a Utah perspective to the important issues in Washington.”
Piatt said he understands people may be surprised he is leaving broadcasting, a field he loves.
“I have been working my dream job my entire career,” Piatt said. “But this is a unique opportunity that I can’t pass up. I’m excited to be a part of the political process from the inside out, not the other way around.”
