Romney Says He Should Have Communicated Better with Minority Voters in 2012

Mitt Romney says his "biggest mistake" of the 2012 campaign was convincing minority voters to vote Republican.

Bloomberg highlights a bit from his extensive interview with Yahoo's Katie Couric where he lamented not letting minority voters know why the GOP is a better choice for them at the ballot box.

"I think we have a real difficulty in the party, and myself included, communicating to Hispanic voters and minority voters generally why it is that conservative principles are better for them and their families than those that are being promoted by the liberals, by the Democrats," he told Yahoo's Katie Couric in an interview that went online Thursday. "That's something I didn't do very effectively," he said, calling it "without question the biggest mistake that I made in the campaign."

Romney also said he wouldn't be throwing his support behind a Republican presidential candidate for quite some time.
