Romney Says He’s Glad Harry Reid is Retiring

One of the great political feuds is coming to an end, and Mitt Romney couldn't be happier.

During the 2012 campaign, Reid accused Romney of not paying income taxes. When asked if he regretted that, Reid refused to apologize.

On Fox News Sunday, Romney said he was glad to see Reid was retiring. From The Hill:

“I’m glad to see him retire and leave the Senate,” he added. “I wish him a good retirement.

Reid announced he would not seek reelection on March 27, and Romney praised that decision Saturday.

“He surely went over the line,” Romney said of accusations Reid made during the 2012 presidential campaign that Romney had not paid taxes.

“It’s not appropriate for someone in his position to make those claims,” Romney, the GOP’s 2012 nominee, added.
