World Trade Center Utah, in partnership with the Governor's Office of Economic Development and the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce, is delighted to welcome His Excellency Hans-Ulrich Tanner, Consul General of Switzerland, who will be joining us for a luncheon at the World Trade Center Building on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.
We would like to invite Utah business community and education leaders to join us. The Consul General will give a short presentation on the current economic, cultural, political and educational situation in Switzerland.
Due to high demand for the diplomatic luncheons, seating is reserved for attendees currently or considering doing business in Switzerland. To this end, please indicate your interest in attending the luncheon by submitting your information through the request form. If WTC Utah is able to confirm your seat you will be notified via email. Switzerland, a member of the European Free Trade Association, is a substantial market for exporters and investors in the United States. The U.S. and Switzerland have signed numerous agreements to strengthen collaboration and grow their relationship. U.S. exports to Switzerland include agricultural products, optic and medical instruments, art and antiques, gold, pharmaceutical products and machinery. Switzerland is a member of the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, World Trade Organization United Nations, Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. Switzerland is also an observer to the Organization of American States and a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's (NATO) Partnership for Peace program.
