Gov. Gary R. Herbert issued the following statement regarding the passing of Fred S. Ball, former president and CEO of the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce:
“Gregarious and friendly, Fred welcomed people from all walks of life to Utah as an ambassador for Utah’s business community. He worked hard to help individuals succeed and laid the foundation for the strong business climate Utahns enjoy today. Jeanette and I extend our condolences to his wife Joyce and the entire Ball family.”
