NAMI Utah strives to erase stigma and raise awareness about mental illness. We provide free education, support, training, and outreach services. Our message is: “Treatment works, recovery is possible, there is hope, and you are not alone.” We know it takes a community to effectively treat mental illness and we focus on working within our communities to affect positive change in combating stigma, educating the public, preserving critical services, and creating new innovations in our systems of care.

NAMIWalks is an inclusive event that supports individuals living and coping with mental illness and their families. Individuals throughout the state of Utah come to NAMIWalks to remember the one we lost to mental illnesses, to cherish the ones who live in recovery, and to come together to reduce mental health stigma. The 2014 Walk had some impressive results, including: 1,400 participants walked with 86 teams, $89,700 was raised to support NAMI Utah programs, and 4,200 miles were collectively walked.
