Lane Beattie, president and CEO of the Salt Lake Chamber, issued the following statement regarding the passing of Robin Riggs.
“I am devastated to learn of the passing of Robin Riggs. He was an incredible friend whose keen intellect was only surpassed by his tremendous capacity to love and inspire those around him.
“Robin’s skills as a professional were unparalleled. Aside from many other prominent roles in our community, He served as general counsel to Utah Governor Michael Leavitt and as president of Qwest for Utah before serving as executive vice president and general counsel for the Salt Lake Chamber. In each position he excelled, touching the lives of those he worked with.
“Family was most important to Robin. He loved his wife and children dearly and our hearts go out to them at this time. I want to personally extend condolences and support to the Riggs family on behalf of the business community.”
