Lee Tops Club For Growth Congressional Rankings

Mike Lee 04Sen. Mike Lee earned a perfect ranking from the 2015 Club For Growth scorecard, putting him tops among all members of Congress.

Lee was the only Senator to get a perfect score in the rankings. Three House members also earned 100% marks in the most recent scorecard.

Lee returned to the top Senate ranking after dropping to #3 in 2014. He previously was #1 with a perfect score in 2013, 2012 and 2011.

Sen. Orrin Hatch ranked 43rd on this year’s scorecard, with a 61%. He has been as high as 3rd in the Senate in 2010, with a 97% score. His lowest score was a 44% in 2014.

All of Utah’s House members were in the top-100 of the rankings for that chamber. 

– Reps. Chris Stewart and Jason Chaffetz placed the highest tied at 51st with an 88% score.

– Rep. Mia Love was 61st with an 85% mark.

– Rep. Rob Bishop was 80th out of 435 House members with a score of 81%.

The Club for Growth rankings are based on how members of Congress vote on certain economic measures. The right-wing group then issues their scorecard based on those votes.
