This is an expert bit of trolling, here. The TyC Sports channel in Argentina is lampooning Donald Trump’s comments about building a wall on America’s southern border to promote coverage of a major international soccer tournament this summer.
The Copa America, which is South America’s soccer championship, will be played in the United States this year as the USA and Mexico have been invited to play. The advert shows Trump talking about a wave of Latin Americans pouring across the border to do harm to America.
Trump’s comments are played over footage of South American soccer stars scoring goals in front of throngs of rabid fans.
The ad ends with a phrase in Spanish that says “In truth, the best they can do is not let us in.”
