The delegates of Utah House District 41 have selected educator and community leader John Arthur to represent the district in the upcoming session. Arthur, a nationally recognized teacher and advocate for students and families, earned strong support from delegates who praised his integrity, experience, and commitment to public service.
“I am so grateful to my friends and neighbors here in House District 41 for allowing me to serve as our next champion in the Utah Legislature,” said Arthur. “I’m ready to get to work on behalf of our community in strengthening our schools, conserving our natural resources, protecting public workers, prioritizing affordability throughout the state and safety in our neighborhoods, and defending the Constitutional rights of everyday Utahns. HD41 is ready to lead, and it is my privilege to carry our voices into the People’s House.”
The Utah Democratic Party extends its sincere gratitude to Representative Gay Lynn Bennion for her dedicated service and her leadership during this transition as she takes on her new role as Mayor-Elect of the City of Cottonwood Heights. Her willingness to step forward for the community has been deeply appreciated. “It’s been an honor and delight to represent House District 41 in the Utah House of Representatives, and I know that John Arthur will be a spectacular representative for us,” shared Representative Bennion.
