Gov. Herbert Orders Flags Lowered for Chattanooga Victims

Gov. Gary R. Herbert has authorized the lowering of the flag of the United States of America and the flag of the State of Utah to honor the five service members killed last week in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Gov. Herbert issued the following statement:

“A senseless, violent killing of any American is a terrible tragedy, but when it happens to our brave service men and women on our own soil, it is even more appalling. Jeanette and I send our deepest condolences to the victims and their families.”

The flags will be flown at half-staff at all state facilities from now until sunset on Sat., July 25, 2015.
