Today, Jason Thompson, a dedicated public servant and long-time resident of Cache Valley, declared his candidacy for Utah House District 3. With a rich public service, business, and community leadership background, Thompson brings a unique blend of experience and conservative leadership to the race.
Jason and his wife, Dana, are proud residents of Cache Valley where they are raising six children. Currently serving as the Mayor of River Heights, Jason has deep roots in the community and a track record of achievement. He holds a bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science and a Master’s in Public Administration.
In addition to his public service, Thompson is an entrepreneur who has successfully started multiple businesses. In April of 2023, Thompson and his business partners sold Fox Pest Control, a national pest control service company, which they founded in 2011. Under the leadership of Thompson and his partners, Fox Pest Control became the 14th largest pest control company in the nation; creating nearly 2,000 jobs nationwide while having a significant impact on employment in Cache Valley. Fox continues to be a major employer in Cache Valley today. He continues to own and operate multiple businesses in Cache Valley.
In addition to business success, Thompson has found fulfillment in service to others. His tenure as Mayor has been one of the most rewarding chapters of his professional life, providing insight into the profound impact of collaborative efforts for the greater good.
His candidacy for the Utah State House is driven by the desire to make a positive difference in the community. He aims to leverage his experiences, talents, resources, and passion to shape policies that enhance the quality of life for all citizens of Utah House District 3 by elevating conservative values.
“I am running for the Utah House to make a difference for good in our community. Together, we can build a future where everyone has the opportunity to succeed, our families can thrive, and where we can preserve what makes Utah great,” said Thompson regarding his announcement.
